How to read your company dashboard in Clarion

Use the Clarion dashboard to see milestones on track, metrics hitting target, open challenges and upcoming syncs for your company or your teams.

The dashboard is the first screen you see after signing in. It answers one question: is the business on course this week? Click Dashboard at the top of the sidebar to get back to it.

What you see depends on your role

  • Owners and Admins see the whole company. The subtitle reads “Here’s your business overview.”
  • Full Access members see the teams they belong to — “Here’s an overview across your teams.” If they aren’t on any team yet, they see No teams assigned until an admin adds them.
  • Advisors and Contractors don’t have a Dashboard link. Clarion opens their team’s Hub instead.

See Roles and permissions for the full picture.

The three numbers at the top

  • Milestones On Track — open milestones marked On Track, out of all open milestones. Completed milestones aren’t counted.
  • Metrics Hitting Target — metrics whose latest entry meets its target, out of all metrics.
  • Open Challenges — challenges that haven’t been resolved, with how many are escalated underneath.

Each card turns from green to amber when the news isn’t good: half or fewer of your milestones on track, half or fewer of your metrics on target, or any escalated challenge.

Quarterly Milestones

Up to four open milestones, each with its owner, due date, progress bar and status. Click View all to open the Milestones page for Leadership, your default team. To change what shows here, update milestone statuses as the quarter moves.

Key Metrics

Only metrics you’ve starred appear here. To star one:

  1. Open a team’s Metrics page.
  2. Click the star next to the metric. Its tooltip reads Add to dashboard.

Click the star again to remove it. Each row shows the target, the latest value and whether it went up or down since the previous entry. Pick the handful of numbers leadership checks every week, not the whole scorecard. See Create a metric.

Upcoming Syncs

Your syncs, with the next date and time and the number of attendees. View all opens the Syncs page, where you can schedule a sync or start one.

Active Challenges

Unresolved challenges with their owner, priority, how many days old they are, and whether they’ve been escalated. View all opens Leadership’s Challenges page. To add one from anywhere, use Quick Add in the sidebar.

Switching companies

If you belong to more than one company, the company switcher at the top of the sidebar changes which company the dashboard shows. The company name appears in the page heading, after Dashboard —.

Consultants watching several clients at once can use the All Companies page, which shows a health score for each company. See Manage client companies.

Make it useful

A dashboard is only as current as the numbers behind it. Ask owners to update milestone status and record metric values before each weekly sync. The founder guide on checking company health covers what to look for each week.
