The vision board is one page that holds where your company is going: what you stand for, who you serve, and what you’re aiming for in three years, one year and this quarter. Each company has one vision board.
Open the vision board
In the sidebar, under Teams, expand Leadership (your default team) and click Vision Board. It only appears under the default team, so people need to be on Leadership to see it in their sidebar.
Everyone who can open the board can edit it. Text fields save when you click away, so there’s no Save button to forget.
Core Values
- Type the value in New value — a short name, like “Own the outcome”.
- Optionally add a sentence in Description (optional) saying what it looks like in practice.
- Click Add, or press Enter.
Click a value to edit its name and description, then click the check mark or press Enter. Hover and click the trash icon to remove one.
Mission & Purpose
Four text boxes, each answering one question:
- Mission and Purpose — why the company exists.
- What We Do — what you actually deliver, in plain terms.
- Target Market — who you’re for.
- Commitment — your guarantee to customers that you’ll deliver, and what happens if you miss it.
Go To Market and USPs
Go To Market is a free-text plan for how you’ll reach the market over the next few months: channels, campaigns, partnerships, launches. It saves when you click away.
USPs is a list of what sets you apart. Type one in New USP and click Add. Click a USP to edit it; hover and click the trash icon to delete it.
Goals: 3 Year, 1 Year and 90 Days
Below that are three columns, one per timeframe. Fill them in from left to right so each shorter horizon serves the longer one.
- Set the Future Date — the date that column is aiming at.
- Under Revenue and Profit, click Add revenue or Add profit. Enter a Description and a Value (e.g. “Annual revenue” and “$4M”). Press Enter to save and add another.
- Under KPIs, click Add KPI. A KPI you add to one column is also added to the other two with an empty value, so the same measure is tracked across all three timeframes. Fill in each column’s value.
- Use the checklist at the bottom of each column — What Does It Look Like? for 3 Year, Goals for the Year for 1 Year, and the quarter’s priorities for 90 Days. Click Add item…, type, and press Enter.
Tick a checklist item’s box when it’s done; the heading shows how many are complete. Click any item to edit it, or hover and click the trash icon to remove it.
Connect the 90 days to your milestones
The 90 Days checklist is the company’s list for the quarter. Turn each item into a milestone with an owner and a due date, so it’s reviewed every week rather than once a quarter. See Create a milestone or import a quarter’s milestones.
Keep it current
Review the board with your leadership team at each quarterly planning session: tick off what’s done, reset the 90-day items, and check the one-year goals still hold. The founder guides on writing your vision and setting annual priorities cover what makes each section useful.
